“After more than a decade's exploration of works for the left hand, which resulted in the production, in 10 volumes, of the very first "Anthology of Works for the Left Hand", I thought I had exhausted the subject… But it was not: the numerous concerts that I gave throughout the world were for me the opportunity to discover other works written for the left hand, unknown to me until that time and whose interest was at the height from that of the works that are familiar to us in Europe. Testimony to their creativity, the artistic challenge of writing for the left hand alone leads the composers to explore new sound textures and various harmonies, thus pushing the limits of the instrument.
