They'd been talking about this idea of touring together for a while. Not just by taking turns on stage, but truly together. It's a deeply unique story that these two bands and their audiences tell, a shared complicity that hasn't weakened, quite the contrary, over the decades [30 years for Les Ogres, 26 for La Rue]. It's on the road, playing all the time, everywhere, and in multiple formats, that the two bands met, retained, and expanded their audience. Yes, it's possible to sustain your artistic project by following your own path, far from the media radar and fleeting trends.

Les Ogres and La Rue Kétanou already championed uninhibited, generous, lively, sincere, poetic or overexcited French song, amorous or protest-driven, always open to all winds. But, for the first time, these nine artists played together this winter. Ten concerts only, all sold out weeks, months in advance. The audience's enthusiasm was even wilder than expected, as was the pleasure they took in sharing this artistic and human adventure. It was such a wonderful party!
