Brass Fanfares Music By Deler

This outstanding two disc set includes some of the best brass fanfares in all of history. The first disc is entirely devoted to twentieth century French works, and includes works from Paul Dukas, Albert Roussel, and Georges Delerue, to name a few. The second disc is devoted to the most famous brass works from colossal composers like Bach Debussy and Piazzolla. The French Brass was founded in 1989. When in May 1989 I decided to found The French Brass, two points have appeared to me essential: 1- Enhancing the French Brass School; 2- Present unusual and prestigious orchestras. Thus around these ideas, I gathered some friends and gradually the concept of French Brass was born. (Thierry Caens)
