DESCRIPTION
Jean Munsi diki alias Kwamy la sintula le n'gansie was born on 27/11/1939 in Kingambwa village in the commune of limete Kinshasa of father mumbala (Jean kabambala) and mother Muteke (Henriette Ngalie Mbuleme). Orphaned at the age of 2, he was raised by his uncles Joseph Lingele and Salomon Diki. After his secondary education, although he obtained a teacher's diploma, Jean Munsi preferred to opt for music which was his passion. From a very young age, he already frequented the celebrities of the time such as Franco Luambo, Mujos Mulamba, and Rochereau Tabu who were also his friends. He started his music career as a singer in orchestras in his adopted commune of Nairi Ngiri and later joined the African Jazz of Grand Kalle Kabasele, which he later left. With the departure of Vicky Longomba for the African Jazz, Jean Munsi who refused to sing next to his childhood friend Franco will end up integrating the Ok Jazz to form with Mujos the melancholic singing attack of the group in the 60s.His first song on vinyl is entitled Yula Munsi José. His admiration and sympathy for President Kwame of Ghana led him to call himself Kwamy because of his revolutionary ideas. Thus, when the agreements were not respected in the groups, with the ideas received from his mentor. Kwamy did not hesitate to change orchestras throughout his career from African Jazz, through Star Jazz, Ok Jazz, African Fiesta, African Sukisa, Revolution. African Team, Somo Somo, Veve, Bantous de la capitale, he ended his career in L'afrisa International de Tabu ley. Very good singer and author composer of talent, he became very popular thanks to his diatribes that they addressed to his peers for reason or another. He will go his reverence the 02/03/1982 by leaving us about fifty songs to success of which we will not forget them so soon. Thus to perpetuate his works I present you in 2 unpublished parts of Kwamy the sintula the Nsansie.
