Live in Paris 1960-1961

Trompettist Dizzy Gillespie was een van de grote vernieuwers van de jazz, die al in de jaren veertig Afro-Cubaanse ritmes in het genre introduceerde. In ArgentiniÙ ontmoette hij de jonge pianist en componist Lalo Schifrin, die een orkestsuite voor Dizzy schreef en die een grote standaard werd. De eerste live-uitvoering werd nooit uitgebracht. tot nu. Opgenomen in 1960 en 1961 was het de eerste aankondiging van de latinjazz-trend.
