Vier passionierte Beatmaker aus Paris und Marseille, Oogo, Chomsky, Mr. Gib und Blanka, sind seit 2008 als die Produzentencrew La Fine Equipe aktiv, gründeten hierfür ihr eigenes Label Nowadays Records und starteten mit ihrem ersten Album „La Boulangerie“ (2008, „Die Bäckerei“) eine erfolgreiche Serie von eklektizistischen Tracks, die auf HipHop- und Downbeat-Fundament gründend mit Soul, Disco, Trip-Hop und Bass Music spielen und gern durch Samples aus bekannten Filmszenen gewürzt sind. Beeinflusst von HipHop-Ikonen wie J Dilla, Mos Def und Madlib sowie der rührigen französischen Electronica-Szene hat das Quartett sich unter Tastemakern international einen hervorragenden Ruf erspielt. Auf „La Boulangerie (Back Burners)“ sind die 15 Tracks versammelt, die exklusiv 2018 zum zehnjährigen Jubiläum des Debütalbums „La Boulangerie“ für kurze Zeit in einer sehr limitierten Box erhältlich waren.
