Members: Joe 'Desglose' Maddox, Matt Julian, Adam 'Lips' Linton, Aron 'Hot Rod' Hallam, Dec Burns The Breakdowns are a UK based rock n roll band who have released 3 albums on Spanish pop label 'Rock Indiana'. Often described as 'power pop', The Breakdowns draw their influences mainly from US rock bands such as Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Ramones, Cheap Trick and The New York Dolls whilst retaining a sense of Britishness through playful, cynical lyrics and 'beat pop' sensibility. Original members Joe Maddox (vocals/guitar), Matt Julian (Guitar) and Adam Linton (Bass) previously played in hard rock band The Rockitts, before disbanding in 2005 to form The Breakdowns. The current line up is completed by Aron 'Hot Rod' Hallam (Guitar) and Dec Burns (Drums).
