Darkly romantic lyrics with an occasional drop of blood, draped over wonky organs, buzzing rhythms, luring female voices, folky guitars, weird samples and solemn violins. Small, often fatal, little stories with catchy refrains summoning the spirit(s) of Leonard Cohen, The Decemberists, Beirut and a musical film-noir.
