The chamois, with its 80 cm at the withers for 40 kg, is one of the smallest representatives of the goat subfamily. This mammal, contrary to what one might think, appreciates rocky areas as much as forests or even mountain pastures. Its thick fur and short tail prevent loss of energy but also heat when winter comes, thus protecting it from extreme temperatures.
