The appaloosa is a breed of saddle horse native to the northwest of the United States. The great feature of these horses is that they often have a spotted coat. It generally measures from 1.42 m to 1.65 m at the withers for a weight of 400 to 450 kg. The appaloosa is a horse with a docile and calm character but which is also lively and receptive. For the rider, it is a horse that proves to be strong, resistant, agile and manageable.
