La Marelle

The "TEtes de chien" are "a contemporary a cappella quintet for traditional song" that, ever since Portraits d'hommes (FA571), owes its reputation to modernized French-language territorial songs. Here they give us this "Marelle" (literally, "game of hopscotch") that revisits, between heaven and earth, the popular songs of Christian legend. The group mixes pagan myths and biblical beliefs, tradition and modernity, ethereal heritage terroirs and contemporary urban arrangements. Augustin BONDOUX and Patrick FREMEAUX
