A Brule Pourpoint

The second album by the group Gadjo Combo, "A brUle pourpoint", is a further exploration of the formula which made their 2007 recording "Modern Swing" (LLL322) such a hit. With little regard for the codes of the genre and its well-worn "standards" that are played and played again, the Gadjo Combo quartet has a formula that would be impossible to categorize even if you had a hold on it; the group takes Swing to distant shores in the culture of freedom, nursing a free spirit and the desire to see new things by opening wide their repertoire. There's no doubt their audience will love being off the beaten track with this gypsy-jazz-rock that remains the group's secret. Augustin BONDOUX
