Les Chats sauvages sont un groupe de rock français, apparu le 12 mai 1961 avec la sortie d'un premier super 45 tours, qui connaît d'emblée un succès national. Sa carrière sous contrat phonographique avec la maison de disques Pathé Marconi va durer, de mai 1961 à mai 1964 et se prolonger jusqu'à fin 1964-début 1965 sur scène. Le groupe est à l'époque le principal concurrent des Chaussettes Noires, la formation d'Eddy Mitchell.
