Abdukerim Osman Chimani and his ensemble propose with this performance of "muqam" Nava hitherto unavailable in the West, a return to the most ancient tradition of classical Uyghur repertoire, the Onikki Muqam (Intangible Cultural Heritage of Unesco). Faithful to the aesthetic of the Ancients, in this refined chamber music (singing, lutes, fiddles, cimbalom, framed drum) closely related to the traditions of Persia, Turkey, Arabia and Central Asia, music and poetry are combined in a single impulse.
