Teea Aarnio is a transdisciplinary music artist - sonic poet, composer, musician, contemporary vocal artist, storyteller, educator, sound designer, improviser, visual artist, movement artist, creative. She is a practitioner of soundpainting improvisation and she worked as a dance artist for 10 years. Her background as a dancer and with embodiment practises can be felt in her art's sonic resonance; her musical expression is inspired by life force, different languages, and the transformative dialogue with different beings and art forms. Teea Aarnio has worked in various projects in Finland and internationally. Themes of biodiversity and cultural diversity, and the dialogue between the seen and unseen, are present in her work.
