Almost Standards

Mit „Almost Standards“ veröffentlicht Gitarrist Tomi „Varre" Vartiaine sein neues Album, das nicht nur die Herzen von Jazzenthusiasten höherschlagen len sollte. Vartiainen zählt zu den angesehensten Musikern in seiner Heimat Finnland, wo er in zahlreichen Jazz- und Rockformationen aktiv ist. Zusammen mit seiner Gruppe „Husband“ nahm er das Album „Lauma“ der Espoo Big Band auf. Seine Kompositionen des neuen Albums werden von Joonatan Rautio am Sax, Jukkis Uotila am Piano, Severi Pyysalo am Vibraphon und Jussi Lehtonen an den Drums untermalt.
