Lang Lang - Mission Mozart

* As tribute to Nikolaus Harnoncourt – Mozart authority and hugely respected performance practice pioneer – Sony Classical will release on home video the TV film “Mission Mozart”. This film documented the one-and-only recording project between these two great musicians – the highly successful “The Mozart Album” – recorded at Vienna’s Musikverein in 2014.
* The documentary shows insights into the rehearsals and preparations, as well as interviews and comments by Lang Lang and Nikolaus Harnoncourt.
* The TV documentary was created in cooperation with Deutsche Welle and Sony Classical, and will be released for the first time on DVD and Blu-ray in Autumn 2016.
* The film will also appear on DVD in the Deluxe Edition “Harnoncourt - The Complete Sony Recordings” for release in October 7, 2016


Documentary about world-renowned pianist Lang Lang's four-day recording session in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein that saw him tackle Mozart's 'Piano Concerto No. 17 in G Major' and 'Piano Concerto No. 24 in C Minor'. Accompanied by The Vienna Philharmonic and conductor Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Lang Lang was followed by a film crew who captured the rehearsals and final performances of these challenging works.
