'In Situ' - Zindagi's 1st Studio Album Produced by Andy Altmann and Zindagi A mixing of rock and alternative styles and influences with a modern sound. Looking towards the golden age of rock and roll, 'In Situ' is lyrically driven and doesn't shy away from kick ass solos. In an effort to create something that distances itself from today's overly common and homogeneous pop rock, Zindagi take bold leap in a variety of directions with the theme of in situ in mind. About the Band In 2009, a group of long-time friends and musicians started the original rock / alternative band Zindagi. What followed was an out-pouring of ideas influenced by each member's unique love and following of their own musical inspirations. Weary of the current state of modern popular music's lack of originality, depth of meaning and homogeneous sound, Zindagi's goal was to write and play for those felt left unserved by today's music. Looking back and drawing upon a variety of musical styles from the past combined with a modern analog sound, Zindagi has aimed to create the music they wanted to hear. On their home turf, the band has been featured in a multitude of New York City rock establishments. Zindagi: A word for "Life" in several eastern languages. As in English, it is used in a variety of different contexts. To us it represents "life through freedom". We have great respect for the word and wear it proudly.
