The music for the award-winning Highland saga “Outlander” now appears as an attractive “Season One Soundtrack Collection”. This 2-CD set includes both SoundTrack CDs in attractive packaging at an attractive price. In addition to around two hours of rousing music, the “Season One Soundtrack Collection” features a newly recorded long version of the theme song “The Skye Boat Song”, the “Wool Waulking Song” sung by the “Outlander” line-up, a new folk song by renowned Gaelic singer Gillebrìde MacMillan, and engaging, colourful booklets with Still images of the series with background information on music.After his compositions on series Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead and others, Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary has created another atmospheric soundtrack for “Outlander”. McCreary has been passionate about the folk music of the Jacobites since his youth. Fascinated by the expressiveness of these songs, he composed an extraordinary soundtrack for “Outlander”, which perfectly reflects the soulful mood and Scottish attitude to life at the time.
