Hailing from Nantucket via Nashville, 20-year old multi instrumentalist Meghan Trainor scored her first publishing deal at age 18. She's since written tracks for everyone from Grammy winning country superstars Rascal Flatts to Common Kings. Inspired by a wide ranging source of influences from pop to R&B and soul to the melody and swing of soca, Meghan comes with her own unique, bold and catchy sound that also blends 50's throw back, hip hop and classic pop. "All About That Bass", the first single from Meghan's upcoming Epic Records debut album for release later this year (exact date TBD) and written entirely by Meghan herself is already being hailed as a serious summer hit contender by US blogs. "All About That Bass" is playful anthem that urges girls to ignore the standard beauty ideal. "When writing the song, I was thinking about girls today and how because of social media, there's more pressure to be society's version of perfect and the message of the song is to love your body no matter what, " said Meghan. The clip was directed by legendary director/producer/choreographer Fatima Robinson (Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Michael Jackson) and Vine superstar Sione Maraschino.
