Jubiläum. Das Monterey International Pop Festival galt als eines der wichtigsten Events in der Geschichte von Rock & Roll Musik. Es war ein Vorreiter für Charity Konzerte wie z.B. für das Live Aid oder Farm Aid, aber auch für kommerzielle Festivals wie das Coachella oder Outside Lands. Unter dem Motto "Music, Love and Flowers" zog das Monterey International Pop Festival 1967 hunderttausende von Menschen nach Nordkalifornien. Nächstenliebe und Kulturwandel wurde hier gefeiert. Die Rock- Bewegung nahm ihren Lauf, nicht nur in Kalifornien, sondern weltweit unverwechselbar.
