It would have made more sense for Dianes fight against breast cancer during the making of this album to have resulted in a collection of bitter, cynical songs. But Beautiful Ways is the opposite: vibrant, focused, forwardlooking, and soaring. Ten new songs from this award winning singer-songwriter that are simultaneously ethereal and trenchant. Fortunately for fans, all that means is another opportunity to float on warm dream currents and get their hearts sliced open, pretty much at the same time. Dianes incredible voice is given rightful prominence over textures of gorgeous guitars, pianos, drums and percussion. Co-produced and recorded by her longtime guitaristJack Shawde, mixed by John Merchant (Celine Dion, Bee Gees, Barbra Streisand), and mastered by Adam Ayan at Gateway Mastering Studios (Nirvana, Madonna, The Rolling Stones).
