Music deeply affects me. It brings back memories, evokes emotion, inspires dreams, and makes me sing along. As a child, all I ever wanted to do was sing. Music has framed my whole life is more ways than just my career. I have starred in shows, sang in concerts, and done thousands of kids parties in NJ, and somehow I feel like it was all to prepare me for making children's music. It brought me to the point in my life where I could believe in myself enough to invest time and money to create the kind of music that lives in my heart, in order to share it with the world. The experience of making my new CD "Roller Coaster Ride,' my second CD, was beyond my wildest dreams. That CD won a 2013 Parents' Choice Approved Award. But 5 songs just didn't seem to fit that album. So I had to get creative with those 5 songs. "Sing Along with Miss Dylan," my first album, was released in 2007. It was a challenge just to see if I could actually pull it off! I had a tiny budget and convinced myself that I could record with just my voice and the guitar. Children and parents alike seemed to really enjoy it. This year (2013) I decided to re-release that first original album with a brand new remaster as only my engineer, Frank Slater of Circle K Productions, could do. And then we added those 5 songs to make a brand new album! Though these classic quirky songs did not fit 'Roller Coaster Ride,' they fit perfectly with this first album of mine. YAY! The new songs include old favs like 'Happy and You Know It' and old tunes like 'Doggie in the Window.' But these 'old' songs are brand new to young children today when heard with cool fun sound effects! And my friend Jeannie B! Wrote the 'punniest' song ever with 'A Dog's Life!' You and the kids are going to laugh and laugh! Thank you for sharing my music. I hope you and your children want to listen again and again. To be allowed to use my gifts to make my own kind of music for children is my joy. I hope it brings back memories, evokes emotion, inspires dreams, and makes you sing along.
