Congratulations! You have reached the next level of this devil-may-carious shower's ongoing battle against their nemesis, Lord Lightspeed. This time they leave no turn unstoned; Ska, Reggae, Balkan, Motown, Punk, Funk, Boogie-Jive-Swing, Rock n' Roll, West-Coast Jazz and Berlin-style Schläger are just some of the measures used to keep the party dancing while the battle hamsters sniff him out. They'll make you laugh They'll make you cry They'll make you pregnant They'll make you sigh But most of all, They're gonna make you dance! All of the tracks on "Imperial Girl" are originals, with the odd John Williams quotation, although, to be honest, a lot of the words were copied out of the dictionary - some from a German one - and most of the notes can be found on a normal keyboard. A couple of the tracks are about the band's experiences: Track 12: "Newborn Seriocity" is a reggae-groove beat-poetry montage of half memories from their tour of New York City in 2011, which started as an invitation to play at antifolk-heroes' Rachel and Dan Costello's wedding in Brooklyn. Track 8: "Strictly Confidential" tells the story of guitarist Felicio del Toro's luckless night when he was accidentally left behind while jamming at the bar late after a gig at the "Out in the Kraut" summer festival in the Swiss mountains. Of course, he can laugh about it now. Also featuring: Track 1: Doom on You! A high-energy intro track featuring solos from all members to get you in the mood. Track 2: Dexter Calling continues the legend of Dexter Doom's disappearance from the Loveboat with a tale of mistaken identity in a kicking Ska. Track 3: Purple Rabbit Pie day, a far-out slow reggaeaggery hallucination. Track 4: Warum? German for "Why"? Balkan badinage in an epic arrangement by Lukas Briggen. Track 5: The Last Tango. Motown! Originally called "Hotown". Yet another amicable break-up. Track 7: Hide the Chicken Back on the hunt in funk. Track 8: Imperial Girl. Does what it says on the tin breast-plate. This time it's personal, punk. Watch out Lord Lightspeed; yo gonna cop a pap in yo ass! Once the battle hamsters sniff y'all out already. Includes quote from Star Wars. Track 9: Der traurige Clown Carel. A Berlin-Cabaret style "Schlag" ("hit") relating the tragic fate of Carel, a clown who fell for the wrong girl, again - the olive-skinned circus-master's daughter, Helga. He was hard-pressed not to - her eyes green as green olives, her hair black as black olives, a heart hard as an olive pit and a smile sweet as vinegar. And mature enough not to mention extra virgin! Track 11: I'm in Love with Falling in Love. You do the meth! Inspired by one girl and dedicated to another in a West-Coast style jazz arrangement in homage to Bill Russo. Bonus feature: Dexter Duo. Track 6: "Inseln des Glücks" features Dexter Duo, a popular divorce band with a five-year waiting list, whose shame was removed at birth. This one's a modern-style "Schlag" sung by Big-Bone accompanied by Bob Loco on his versatile Sprinter 49B. Versatile if you like one type of Bossa-Nova, that is. May divorce be with you!
