EDITORIAL REVIEWS
'Confession of Faith (At Four O'clock in the Morning)' (2011) I remember the good old times, when we, the electronic-music fans were anxiously sitting and waiting in front of various radio receivers, in hopes of finding an evening audition devoted to various musical sensations. Usually in the beginning of such an audition one could hear a vague sentence like: "el. I don't really know what it all is about." Right. So here I am, about to share my reflections about TTOO. The Temple of Oscillators, which is the group I am talking about now, is one big reverberating mystery. In all honesty, neither I do know what IS behind it. I have listened to the "Confession Of Faith" multiple times now and did so not because I had to, but because I wanted to. For with each single time I do find something different in it. Maybe that music does not belong to the 'easy' category, but I still find that the authors of these musical visions are giving us the keys to the gates of the world of sounds surrounding us. What we hear during the 67 minutes is a one big musical experiment. Let us then enter the temple of sounds at four in the morning and lurk quietly somewhere on the side, somewhere in the gloom, let us cuddle up into oneself and close our eyes. What do we see then? What do we hear then? It is, in a way, a confession and a declaration of faith at the same time. Listening to this LP we are talking to ourselves. That is sometimes really worth the effort. I think that the creators aimed for an individual interpretation of this recording. Fans of this kind of music will immediately know how to approach it, yet should one, who had not by now been in a paradise of sounds, try this, they will definitely find themselves in one. It is a must-have on the music shelf.
