Let Me Get By is the premiere Tedeschi Trucks Band project for Fantasy/Concord Records (and their third studio release overall). Recorded and mixed at Swamp Raga Studio, their home base in Jacksonville, Florida, it’s the first time the band has recorded live in the studio, with all the members present from the start. Other than input from close band confidant, Doyle Bramhall II, (who, provided the luminescent musical bed for the album’s heartfelt centerpiece “Hear Me” among other contributions) it’s also the first TTB album to feature songs written completely by the band members themselves. Let Me Get By finds TTB pushing their artistry in new and creative ways and delivering a deeply inspired collection of modern rhythm and soul songs for the ages.NOT a jam band, they come from a rich tradition of southern soul, rhythm & blues, country, rock and jazz. Heavily influenced by the Muscle Shoals sound and artists such as Leon Russell, Duane Allman, Wilson Picket, Otis Redding and Aretha Franklin.In 2011, Rolling Stone listed Trucks at number 16 on their 100 Greatest Guitarists list, the youngest living musician included. Only Freddy King, David Gilmour, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, George Harrison, Pete Townshend, Duane Allman, Eddie Van Halen, Chuck Berry, B.B.
