This year marks the celebration of the 90th birthday of legendary jazz recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder. In 2006 Concord launched the Rudy Van Gelder Remasters series - a collection of reissues of some of the most iconic albums in the Prestige catalogue, carefully remastered from the original analogue master tapes with 24-bit digital technology by the legendary and original recording engineer, Rudy Van Gelder. For the very first time, the Rudy Van Gelder Remasters 20CD box set brings a selection of these titles together for retrospective look at some of Rudy Van Gelders' finest output for Prestige, including legendary dates with jazz titans John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Eric Dolphy, and Thelonious Monk.
