It's a live date (recorded in Berkeley, Calif., at Tsubo's) featuring Miles Davis' rhythm section comprised of pianist Wynton Kelly, bassist Paul Chambers and drummer Jimmy Cobb and augmented by young tenor saxophone firebrand Johnny Griffin.
