Known primarily for performing Irish and Scottish ballads, American born Mike Gallagher has been a constant musical presence in the Irish Celtic and folk genre. Mike also specializes in contemporary acoustic music and performs a number of original selections, backing his clear tenor voice with sensitivity and versatility on the twelve-string guitar. His original works draw on the influences of American roots music and Celtic traditions. Master of the Irish ballad as well as haunting love songs, Mike has established himself as an entertainer who brings emotion, humor and spirit to every performance and every recording. Mike has performed with Andy M. Stewart, Tommy Sands, Guaranteed Irish and has recorded with Texas songwriter, Shake Russell.
