Der Altmeister des britischen Rhythm & Blues im Zusammenspiel mit der Norman Beaker Band.
Der englische, 1940 geborene Rhythm-&-Blues-Sänger John Henry Deighton alias Chris Farlowe startete seine Karriere bei der John Henry Skiffle Group. In den Sechzigern hatte er mit dem Rolling-Stones-Cover Out Of Time einen großen Hit, in den Siebzigern war er vor allem mit Colosseum aktiv. Jimmy Page und Mick Jagger zählen ihn zu ihren Lieblingssängern. Obwohl schon im gehobenen Alter, beackert Farlowe auch in diesem Jahrtausend noch immer die Bühnen hier ist der Londoner nach wie vor ein Vulkan. Besonders in Deutschland hat er eine treue Anhängerschar Seit vielen Jahren tourt The Voice regelmäßig, entweder solo oder mit der Norman Beaker Band. Diese war auch im März 2006 beim Crossroads Festival in Bonn zugegen, als Farlowe seine großartigen Sangeskünste unter Beweis stellte. Norman Beaker (Gitarre), John Price (Bass), Dave Baldwin (Keyboard), Damian Hand (Saxofon), Paul Burgess (Drums) und Gastsänger Nikolay Arutyunov standen dem charmanten Frontmann in nichts nach und präsentierten sich alle in glänzender Form. Die Wiederveröffentlichung von Live At Rockpalast 2006 erscheint gegenüber der Erstausgabe in einer erweiterten Fassung als 2CD/DVD-Box im CD-Format mit Originalfotos und professionellen Linernotes.
