After the piano solo album released in 2021, pianist, keyboardist and composer Bernd Kaftan shows a new facet with his new album “Persepctives”: full of grooves, polyphonic vocals and ingenious arrangements, the album uncovers surprising beauty and fresh ideas. Genre boundaries are not even considered, the focus is on a joy of playing that is immediately transferred to the listener. It has a lot to do with jazz and incorporates strong influences from African and Latin American music. Clever arrangements can be heard, clever lyrics, and all this in compositions that are easy-going and whose formal complexity always serves the music. With Anne Hartkamp (voc), Susanne Kokot (voc), Philipp Köbele (git), Ulla Oster (db, bg), Thomas Wörle (dr) and Roland Peil (perc), he was able to win over well-known, in some cases internationally renowned musicians.
