Matt Bianco ist eine britische Gruppe, die 1982 von Mark Reilly (Gesang), Danny White (Keyboards) und dem verstorbenen Kito Poncioni (Bass) gegründet wurde, alle ursprünglich Mitglieder der Band Blue Rondo A La Turk. Für ihr erstes Album "Whose Side Are You On?" engagierten sie die bis dahin unbekannte polnische Sängerin Basia Trzetrzelewska. Ihre Gesangsarrangements gaben dem Album eine ungeahnte jazzige Dimension und Hits wie „Get Out of Your Lazy Bed“ und „Half a Minute“ machten Matt Bianco zu einem der größten Acts der 1980er Jahre. Vierzig Jahre später veröffentlicht die Gruppe dieses neue Doppelalbum: „The Essential Matt Bianco“, mit dreißig Tracks aus ihrer gesamten Karriere, liebevoll neu interpretiert und „neu geliebt“. Das bedeutet, dass diese Lieblingstracks aus dem Katalog von Matt Bianco entweder neu aufgenommen oder neu abgemischt und für hier und heute interpretiert wurden. Dieses Album wird ausgiebig mit Konzerten auf der ganzen Welt getourt.
