ENSLAVED è stata una delle primissime band della scena BLACK METAL norvegese. Il gruppo ha debuttato con un mitico split album insieme ai colleghi EMPEROR, la primissima uscita realizzata dall’ etichetta inglese Candlelight Records nel 1993. Gli Enslaved si sono sempre distinti dai gruppi BLACK METAL norvegese per le loro atmosfere epiche che hanno contribuito a dar vita al genere VIKING METAL. Inoltre, nel corso dei ben 13 album realizzati dal quintetto, gli Enslaved hanno sviluppato uno stile molto personale, con elementi PROGRESSIVE ROCK ed atmosfere PSYCHEDELIC, una musica molto varia e creativa. “Roadburn Live” è il primo album dal vivo del gruppo, registrato durante l’edizione del 2015 del prestigioso festival olandese dedicato alle sonorità più oscure. L’ album è stato mixato da Iver Sandøy nei Solslottet Studios, masterizzato da Jens Bogren (Kreator, Opeth, Sepultura) nei Fascination Studios, e vede come ospiti Einar Selvik (Wardruna), Aðalbjörn Tryggvason (Sólstafir), Per Wiberg (Opeth, Candlemass), e Menno Gootjes (Focus) nella cover di “Immigrant Song” dei Led Zeppelin.
