Hailing from Hungary (and not unlike what their biggest influence - Sepultura/Soulfly did with traditional Brazillian folk music) Ektomof set out in 1994 to spread the word of extreme Metal bridged with the unique stylings of the Roma/Gypsy music of their homeland. Following up six previous studio albums with 2011's "Redemption", Ektomorf unleash their finest work to date, thanks to recording with producer extraordinaire Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Mnemic, Hatesphere) at the infamous Antfarm Studio in Denmark. "Redemption's" lyrics deal with modern day discrimination within European society, pain and anger and show a strong will to survive. Their music combines the burning fire of the primal Gypsy music with modern elements: groovy, down-tuned guitar riffs and aggressive drums, supplemented by powerful and raw screaming vocals. "Redemption" reflects the work of a band that mean what they say and say what they mean and is their Metal masterpiece!
