The debut disc from Australian pianist Matt Boden. Boden teams up with colleagues of old, Leigh Barker (double bass), Gideon Brazil (tenor sax) and Alastair McGrath-Kerr to present a disc of high-energy jazz firmly rooted in the greatest aspects of the music, namely Melody, Swing and Fun. The record consists of Boden's originals, one original by drummer McGrath-Kerr and a new rendering of a classic Mingus tune. The band brings a distinctive swinging approach and big joy to everything they play.
