Athough it's fairly easy to hear the influences in The Monco Poncho's music it's surprisingly difficult to put a short label on it. This very unique debut album form one of Dallas Texas most popular live bands brings together elements of 50s & 60s pop, surf and western with 80s alternative and textures borrowed from the classic sound tracks of Ennio Morricone to complement what are at their core lyrically well written songs that are just as emotional as they are catchy.
