He worked 10 years as an engineer in the upper echelon of the music industry, bringing connection to folks like Grammy Award ® winning mix engineer Phil Nicolo (who mixed Ash's album), the world famous Gateway Mastering Studios (where the album's final touches were given), Christian music luminary Steve Taylor (Newsboys, Sixpence None The Richer) and industry legend Kevin Killen (Peter Gabriel, U2, and countless others) provided personal encouragement during the four years it took to complete the album. Upon release, the album sold from Australia to Germany, several tracks were on radio, songs on the album received songwriting recognition, and Ash was invited to open for Dove ® and Grammy Award ® winner Nichole Nordeman.
