Although John Lefler has been the lead guitarist/keyboardist for the indie band, Dashboard Confessional for almost ten years, his own music has much more in common with '60's and '70's era melodic pop-rock. Based in Dallas, TX, John has toured on his solo debut, 'Better By Design,' solidly since it's release in late 2009. Though the album is a full band effort (John playing most of the instruments), he usually travels solo, just playing guitar and piano. 'Better By Design,' was recorded in Dallas, co-produced by Salim Nourallah (Old '97's, The Damnwells). John is currently recording his next record with his brother, Bill Lefler (Dashboard Confessional, Patrick Stump).
