“Come Spend A While Wi’ Us”, like its predecessor “Plockdown”, was recorded in the fairly challenging circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is the 21st annual CD by the students of the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music, and contains the usual mix of traditional and contemporary material chosen, arranged, and often composed by the students themselves. The Centre is proud to be able to provide an outlet for the creativity of these talented young people, and to see the great Scottish musical tradition being kept moving forward as a consequence.
