2010 collection of early recordings from Ol' Blue Eyes. Every track here, save for one, was recorded between January 1940 and September 1942. During that time, the kid from Hoboken was singing for the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra and cultivating the air of the sensitive, romantic crooner. With Dorsey, he scored his first number-one hit, 1940's "I'll Never Smile Again," which makes a fine introduction to the young Sinatra's tender vocal style.
