Composed by Mehmet Ali Sanlikol, A Gentleman of Istanbul is a symphony performed by A Far Cry Chamber Orchestra with Mehmet Ali Sanlikol and George Lernis, blending western classical, Turkish traditional, and jazz musics. It follows 17th-century Ottoman traveler, Evliya Celebi, celebrating the cosmopolitan identity of this adventurer, and the rich history and cultural diversity within Islam.
