Nearly 4 years since their jaw dropping debut album, Fleshletting, these young Swedes are back with a new addition, guitarist Fredrik Wikberg, and an IKEA full of savage and barbaric, yet sophisticated and progressive, tunes that will please the harshest of critics and the most hard-to-please fans. Carnal Heresy, the band's sophomore offering is a brutal assault that acts as an air raid siren announcing that Wretched Fate have gone no where, and any of those that failed to remember the brilliance of their debut will be quickly reminded upon hearing this album. While the initial focus centers around the overall extremity, which is hard to ignore, upon further investigation the listener will discover the incredible depth of the band and their ability to craft a memorable song; within a genre that can at times be difficult to achieve. Feeling that much of modern metal is formulaic, bland, and down right boring, Wretched Fate's mission since inception has been to revive the greatness and restless energy found in Death Metal of the past and combine it with something bold and new.
