CARNIVAL OF SOULS starring Candace Hilligoss is a 1962 American psychological horror film directed by Herk Harvey. The plot revolves around a young woman whose life is disturbed by the only survivor of a car accident. To leave the incident behind, she moves to Utah to take a position as a church organist. Unable to adapt to the locals, her life is soon interrupted by the vision of a creepy stranger. As her visions become more common, she feels strangely drawn to an abandoned fair on the outskirts of town. The seductive, abandoned carnival could hide the secret of her tragic past. CARNIVAL OF SOULS contains an organ score by Gene Moore. With various guerrilla filming techniques and a tight budget of just $33,000, "CARNIVAL OF SOULS" has evolved into a cult classic and has been praised by critics and film scholars for its cinematography and gloomy, gloomy atmosphere. Waxwork worked closely with the owners of the original film elements of CARNIVAL OF SOULS, restored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and archived in the vaults of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. AMPAS has restored the soundtrack of the film's original soundtrack negative, allowing the owners of this historic film Waxwork to provide the best possible source material. This special release marks the first official CARNIVAL OF SOULS soundtrack album. In addition to the original soundtrack, this release includes eloquent and tasteful dialogue sections and sound effects, all drawn from the restored original soundtrack negative. The soundtrack range includes deluxe packaging, heavy colored vinyl, new artwork by noted horror illustrator Graham Humphreys, liner notes and Rob Zombie led interviews with filmmakers and actors.
