After VARG have completely placed the thematic and musical focus on their pagan roots with their last and most successful album characters (2020, place #16 of the German album charts) and manifest their reincarnation impressively. Honest, authentic, and raw - the new album Ewige Wacht is released via Napalm Records. In addition to eleven brand new songs, the 2-CD Digipac contains an exciting bonus CD on which all songs are presented by a wide range of well-known guests - including Rotting Christ, Kanonenfieber, Alestorm, Nachtblut, Korpiklaani, Obscurity, Tyr, Forndom, Harpy and Robse.
The eighth studio album transports Norse mythology, as well as values such as honesty and loyalty. VARG show themselves once more as an invincible unit, - the opening track already testifies to it. Always loyal. Here it is clear how intensively singer Fylgja was included in the individual songs this time. Shield maid, Fylgja and iron side stand as a symbol of this interplay and the path VARG has been treading for characters. The folky melodies in morning red lead to the epic Victorious army, which sharpens the unity thought, which pulls through eternal guard like a red thread. The title track forms the final climax and combines pagan theme, haunting melodies and the engaging power of wolves.
