The Door To Doom setzt den roten Faden fort, den Mastermind, Songwriter und Bassist Leif Edling in den letzten Jahren für seine Band verfolgte: epischer Weltklasse-Doom-Metal, der sich auf schleppendes Mammut-Riffing stützt. Mit Langquists dramatischen Vocals und viel Liebe zum Detail verfeinert die Band dieses Album und macht es zum nächsten „Epicus“. Gekrönt wird das Meisterwerk von einem Gastauftritt von Black Sabbaths Gitarrenikone Tony Iommi auf ‘Astorolus – The Great Octopus‘ – The Door To Doom ist die Doom-Metal-Offenbarung des 21.
