The sound of The Orchard Thieves is an invitation to the world of dark pop. Born of a collaborative songwriting effort by long-time friends D. Patrick and Jeff Stephens, The Thieves formed in late 2005 with an impressive catalogue of songs already in place. The pair soon teamed with Vin Aliberto and Josh Boelter and immediately began work on their self-titled debut album (11/11/2006). Based in New York City's Lower East Side, the band quickly became active in the local rock scene, seducing audiences with a sound that is nothing short of undeniable. The Orchard Thieves has performed at a number of notable New York City venues, including The Bitter End, Piano's, Sin-e, The Cutting Room and the legendary Village Underground.
