Steve Guasch y su orquesta Nueva Era is a contemporary salsa orchestra that plays 'salsa dura', with glimpses of Latin Jazz that emerged from the need to have freedom of musical expression. The Group is the creation of Steve Guasch and a superb group of players from the great pacific northwest as well as guests musicians like grammy awards nominee Paoli Mejias on congas, Trumpeter Ray Vega, Pianist Nachito Herrera and Bassist Roberto Riveron. Steve has performed with international acts such as Marvin Santiago, Lalo Rodriguez, Maelo Ruiz, David Pabon, Hector Tricoche and Melcochita. The arrangements where handled by Oscar Hernandez, Ray Santos, Lee Bradford, Brett White, Paul Finley and Julio Jauregui. This CD was nominated for the L.atin Grammys in 2006.
