DFA undoubtedly owes much of its existence to the incredible and indelible Liquid Liquid, so it is with a great and humble honor that the label presents this maxi of New York legends of the no wave, including more or less new versions of the classic Liquids titles. This torrential version of "Bellhead" was recorded and produced by James Murphy and Tim Goldsworthy in 2004 and originally appeared on DFA's Compilation #2. The other side is a new version of the track "Optimo", which was re-recorded by Liquids in 2008, then remixed by Optimo (Espacio), the must-see duo from Glasgow that bears this name in tribute to the song in question.
