After 5 years in the making, Yellow Bird Project (YBP) is proud to announce the details of their first full length LP an exclusive album of tracks from Andrew Bird, Hayden, Astral Swans, Whispertown, and more covering other bands who have contributed to YBP. The album, GOOD PEOPLE ROCK, will be available in vinyl and digital formats via Madic Records on April 14. Available to stream today is the album s first track with Andrew Bird s interpretation of The New Pornographers power-pop classic The Fake Headlines , replete with his signature whistle and violin. I am incredibly honored to be covered by someone I respect as much as Andrew Bird, says AC Newman. For a good cause too.

GOOD PEOPLE ROCK includes 10 exclusive recordings from artists T E Morris, Keaton Henson, and Dry The River covering Sharon Van Etten, Beach House, and Metric respectively. The album is a celebration of collaboration and creativity, with friends covering friends and strangers covering strangers. Alec Ounsworth (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) takes on Elvis Perkins How s Forever Been Baby and Perkins returns the favor by taking on Ounsworth s Mexican Ritual .

Also included on GOOD PEOPLE ROCK is Madic Records artist Astral Swans featuring Dan Mangan with a cover of You Are A Runner And I Am My Father s Son by Wolf Parade. The spirit of Yellow Bird Project is completely in line with my philosophy for Madic Records, says Dan Mangan. To promote interesting music, to create and foster community, and to try to be a force of positivity in the world. What YBP has accomplished to date is inspiring and I m thrilled to be involved in their latest project.
