The McMasters

Western starring Brock Peters as Benjie, a black Union soldier and former slave who returns to his southern hometown to discover that he is a free man in name only. His only friend is rancher Neal McMasters (Burl Ives), who offers him a half-share of his land. In need of help with the land, Benjie employs Native American White Feather (David Carradine) and his starving tribesmen. But violence erupts when local bigots launch a racially-motivated attack on the farm led by ex-Confederate soldier Kolby (Jack Palance).
